John Synchro is a solo virtual music producer from Camden, London, with a passion for electronic sounds and synths, having started his musical journey in his parent’s basement playing with instruments borrowed from his local school music club from the age of 8. John was brought up in the world of consoles and early PC gaming, getting hooked in his childhood, playing classic hits, fighters, RPGs, shoot 'em ups and fantasy titles. From Japanese game characters to American superheroes and larger-than-life villains, he enjoyed the music soundtracks of these old games and their addictive, nostalgic feel, not to mention how the music introduced and defined these cheesy 2D and 3D gaming icons.

Inspired by the 1980s and 90s sci-fi movies, video games and characters of this era, he started creating music to keep the storytelling and communities of this special time in his heart alive. This music would ensure that the gaming nerds and film buffs of the era, his close friends and those in the community, would continue to be enlightened with their favourite childhood memories and be able to play these new songs in the present day – remembering the laughs and the feelings of those stories that were so special and timeless.

With his new custom-built audio mix station, John Synchro is setting the stage for a new era of nostalgic music, bringing back classic memories and updating the retro, synthwave and 80s theme songs for a new generation of listeners.
